Military Discount Compilation Blog Post (First Responders, Teachers, Nurses, and more Included)

FWIW, I appreciate the thought when a business offers a discount to me because of my profession — sometimes I accept it, but most often I do not. That is their prerogative to run their business as they see fit. I certainly don’t ever expect it or get upset if they don’t offer a discount.

So your OK with them giving a discount to one city's Police Dept but not another city's?

Or giving a discount to the Marines and not the Army?

Not upset, it is what it is--but just saying what it is and the realization of the issue.

This is the only appropriate attitude.

I am 100% okay with it… it’s their business.

Usually, when someone asks, “So [you’re] OK with… (fill in the blank)?”, it infers that the one asking is “not okay with” the subject matter.

I’m not looking for an argument, just stating that IMO discounts should be appreciated when applied, but never expected/anticipated. YMMV.
