MILE HIGH HUNT EXPO 2026

I didn’t get to spend as much time as I wanted because I got a work call and had to bolt, but had a great conversation with @TandKHunting about their new suppressors. Combining awesome customer service and t and k durability makes the new suppressors very attractive.

My favorite booth with the mushroom glasses though.

@robby denning mark your calendar for 2027. 😉
Hoping to make it 2027!

Great talking to you man!

Show lowlights/highlights:

1. Muley Freak had two bins of $10 merch. They had a booth tucked away in the far corner of the show.
2. Gritty premiered a new film where they made a bad shot on a bear and paralyzed it and took forever to finish it off while the animal suffered. Afterwards he was swarmed by flat brim fan boys.
3. Aron Snyder and Justin Gaethje's trainer had a Q&A session about backcountry gear where 90% of it was the latter dude talking about how awesome he is. I think there were a dozen or so actual questions fielded by Aron.
4. Parking was $15/day and finding the lot(s) was half the battle. Free street parking was hilarious to watch unfold as people tried parallel parking dually trucks with predictable results. It was almost as entertaining as the day the boat ramps open up.
5. Venue was fairly sparsely populated (wide aisles). Made it seem like they were trying to make it look bigger than it was.
6. Pretty good deals on high end optics. Deals were somewhat negated by the parking and entrance fees.
7. Cliff Gray's presentation on OTC elk was worth the price of admission and the only thing that made attending the show worth it to me.

In the future, I'll be skipping this unless there are seminars worth attending and/or more/different vendors I'm interested in are attending.

Went to the show Saturday around 9:15 AM. Found free parking easily and didn’t mind the 4 min walk. Would have happily paid $15 to park and had planned on it.
Didn’t mind the $25 entry fee- gave me and child a few hours of cheap entertainment.

If you had a plan to buy something at the show, you’d probably save way more than the $40 in costs to enter. I saw lots of good deals.

MKC sharpens any knife for free and they do an awesome job. I took two and they didn’t have any issue sharpening old
Kershaw’s. Probably $30 in value.

I compared some chassis’ back to back that would have otherwise been difficult to do. Meet a great local dealer in the process.
Handled the RF / ballistic bino from Revic.

Found a new made in USA apparel company (fireside pine) that has nice T-shirt and hat designs. I like finding made is USA options. I need to wear shirts, may as well support small biz when feasible.

My kiddo loved the elk calling competition. She wanted to sit there for over 1.5hr watching.

I’d go back next year just for the cheap sharpening and chance to look at any gear I’d consider in the coming year.
