Midway says this is constructed with 167 Berger OTM. However, Berger doesn't make a 308 167g. But they do make a 168 however. A thread on the Hide suggests it's made with the 167g Scenar. Anybody out there know for sure? If someone has shot it, how does it shoot? If it's in fact a Berger OTM bullet, would it be suitable for hunting? Thanks.

A bunch of those guys already published range results in that thread on the Hide. OTM bullets are not built for expansion. I would expect poor hunting with them. But if you managed to grab some before they sold out, plink or practice field shooting with them to fire form to your chamber, then reload with proper hunting bullets. You are basically getting a free practice round with your Lapua Brass purchase. That's how I intent to use them, if I ever get a 308.

Midway is just a retailer. They most likely copy/paste description from CMP, sell. They aren't verifying what's in the box. Considering the CMP website shows "Lapua 167 grain Scenar OTM" on the 308 box, I'd lean more towards a mistake on the website description. Even the 30-06 167gr version shows the same mismatch.
