So I have a 20 degree bag that is light for backpacking and I have a -30 degree bag that is heavier and bulkier if I am truck camping in the winter. What I'm looking for is a system for about 0 degrees or so for late fall or obviously colder temp hunts. I would like it to be reasonable weight/bulk for packing in, if necessary. I have been looking some at quilts, but I was under the impression that there was going to be substantial weight savings compared to a bag. I don't think that is what I have found when you figure in a whole system. Maybe I'm not understanding completely or looking at the right stuff. The other thing is that it seems difficult to find a lower degree rated quilt. Most of them seem to be 25-40 degree. I was looking at Wiggy's bags. They seem to be reasonable weight for the warmth they are supposed to provide. Does anyone have any experience with them or am I looking in the wrong direction?

Wiggy's are synthetic and will be way heavier and bulkier than a equal rated down bag. Look at Feathered Friends and Western Mountaineering if you want the best, Stone Glacier is a little cheaper Asia made.
