Yes and Yes.....
Wont get into the obvious arguments and opinions that widely vary among archers.

Yes to Skinnies......
Yes if the arrows group consistently well out of your set up at MER.
Yes if you don't mind fussing with the set up to get true spinning arrows
Yes if you want a higher "EFOC"
Yes if you desire to have less wind drift.
- I'll add sometimes the archer shoots from locations that have reduced wind, and the arrow travels into windier scenarios or even swirling wind conditions on way to acquired target.
Yes if the mind feels better in the shot execution process with skinnies

Yes to regular size shafts
yes if your bow consistently groups well with std diameter shafts
yes if you are on a budget and want to spend $$ on other hunting items
- like a better broadhead
yes if your set up is fine with 8-16% FOC (who's isn't right?)
yes if mentally you are fine with the std dia shafts in your shot execution
yes if you seek simplicity of set up

As far as penetration, shot placement is everything.
Unfortunately we do have issues sometimes, and forgiveness of set up is nice to have.
What ever gets you to the best group consistency with forgiveness due to the stackable tolerances of our equipment, is what I would use.

Shot them for a lot of years. Got tired of dealing with either bent outserts or deep six. Switched back to a .204 this year and couldn’t be happier!!

Thanks everyone for their inputs. I've decided to go with Easton Axis and not think too much about it.
