I would like to start off by saying THANK YOU! to all of you who share your knowledge and experience on this forum.

I first heard about it a month or so ago, and have already learned a lot.

My name is Kevin and I live just north of Metro-Detroit in Michigan. I'm 23 and will have earned a Finance degree at the end of this upcoming fall.

I'm shooting for my first archery DIY OTC elk hunt in either ID or CO, but most likely CO, in September 2017.

Welcome! Do any fishing on Erie or St. Clair?

Nope. Never had a reason to go that far South. My hometown was right on the shores of Lake Huron, and I went to college at MTU up in Houghton, so plenty of time on the water in Huron and Superior. We also had a ton of good inland fishing lakes in northern Michigan. Hubbard Lake, Grand Lake, Long Lake, AuSable River, Fletcher's. The oppportunities for fishing were endless.

I ice fish St. Clair quite a bit. Mostly for Gills and Sunnies. Other than, I just stick to inland lakes for bass and some pike. Went up to the PM this September for my first salmon trip and it was a good time.

Good luck bwlacy! I'm already super stoked and we're not even planning on going for 2 and a half years haha
