If any of you guys have been there done that..Curious what layers to plan on taking. The hunt will be next January in Sonora, Mexico. Spot and stalk, ambush, ground blind...Archery hunt.

Thanks in advance!

It gets really cold sitting still all day long! You could see temps in the 20's no problem. And even at 40 degrees it can get cold when you are not exerting yourself. So be prepared with REALLY warm clothes for stand sits. But they must be quiet. That means fleece and wool. Coues are jumpy critters and if it's cold and still, the slightest sound is magnified. Dont shoot at an alert coues deer.

If you are spotting and stalking, you will want a heavy jacket when glassing, but then shed it when you are on the go as you will heat up fast.

I was just on a sales run through Arizona. I had a number of archery shops talk to me about a Coues deer decoy.

I am talking to a number of outfitters trying to get a good frontal picture of a hard horn Coues buck.

If someone has a good picture, high definition I would like to buy it.

I plan to start making a Coues decoy as soon as I can get a good picture.
