Metal detector for bbs in birds

Do you use some sort of metal detector to check birds for bbs before eating them? I would like to get one, but I see they range from $25- well whatever you want to pay on one. I just need it for BBs, but I want one that works. Any recommendations? Thanks

I had one in that $25 range and it worked fine for the purpose. Orange one on amazon is all I can remember for the brand and model

Not all of the will detect lead shot. My wife bought one at Menards and it will only identify steel.
