Metal chassis in the cold

I have an XLR chassis on the way. I have read some posts about some people disliking the metal in the cold enough to steer them away from a metal chassis. I am hoping that is not a deal breaker for me. I don't think it will be, as I usually have my rifle on my pack when hiking or riding in, and in a gun bearer when actively hunting. It also does not seem much different than hunting with a compound bow in the cold. I know some people will put some tape or moleskin on their bow grip to decrease thermal conductivity. I was wondering if anyone has tried something similar with a metal chassis.
