I use the SKRE Kanati as a outer layer a bunch. It's a blended mernio 300 gsm hoody and retains it's shape great. I wear it under the Hardscrabble vest but haven't had tear and used it almost everyday last season.

I’d add the Sitka heavyweight to the list.

I always have my heavyweight or traverse hoody(discontinued) with me. I’d say it’s on the majority of the time, on most hunts.

I’ll also add that why I do like and understand wool for next to skin, beyond that it’s just heavier, takes longer to dry, and not needed past base layers.

+1 for Sitka heavy weight core if you don’t need wool. First lite wool has been good to me if you do want wool.

I have the kiln myself. I also have the Klamath grid fleece that goes over it. Makes a great pair
