Hey everyone, I’ve seen a few threads about this from the end of 2024 but I wanted to see how it looks now. I’m looking at possibly buying a pair of Meopta MeoStar B1 Plus binoculars but as I saw they have moved out of the US as far as service centers and possibly the US market so any warranty or repair work has to be sent to the EU.

Is that process still a nightmare like I read or has it gotten any better since then? Are they relatively easy to get ahold of?

I know Meopta makes good glass from what I’ve read but if I can’t send my optic off for repair in the situation I would need that it doesn’t matter how good the glass may be.

I read a post yesterday that said it was not good. It's a shame because they have some good products. I think Camerland said they are not carrying their stuff unless they have a presence in the US. Seems like Meopta is making a huge mistake. The market here is big.

That really sucks to hear. I’m new to the “high end” optics and looking to buy my first pair. I was very pleased with reviews about Meopta but then soon after had found those threads. Sucks to hear because I agree the market here is massive.

What size binos were you looking for ? I have seen some on her recently for good prices. You might just take a chance on some used ones for the price.

Probably looking to stay in the 8x42-10x50 range 12x max only for the right pair. I’m an eastern US guy so I’m mostly hunting whitetail and turkey.

I saw these in the classifieds. Primo binos

Best binos for the money! Have had 12x50s for 10 years flawless! Had 2 pairs of 15x56 that lost collimation, 1 in shipping and 1 on a hunt with no abuse. If you get some at a good price, grab them!

Were you able to get them fixed ? Are there other companies that will fix them ?

Sent some 15’s in for repair a couple months ago, besides the $150 shipping, the process was pretty quick and painless. They covered everything under warranty. The e-mail responses are a bit slow.

ETA; This was the most responsive/helpful person I had contact with. veronika.olivova@meopta.com
