I have no idea why it would be said. Their Sport Optics lines have been doing excellent. The Optika5 scopes are certainly a best value under $500 and their popularity is growingI wonder why the Moderator at Birdforum would make this statement, however he does have contacts in the EU, and they are not doing well going forward.
Because ,while optically knowledgeable, those birder dudes and their moderator are a bunch of pussies, and are appalled at the thought of hunting in any form or fashion.I wonder why the Moderator at Birdforum would make this statement, however he does have contacts in the EU, and they are not doing well going forward.
I would suggest that your generalization about birders may not completely hold water. People who like birds and enjoy learning about them come from all walks of life, personal backgrounds, and political persuasions. If you assume and act like the whole world is out to get you, what sort of image does that portray for hunters as a whole? In my mind, anyone who likes to recreate outdoors is a potential partner in conservation efforts, until proven otherwise.Because ,while optically knowledgeable, those birder dudes and their moderator are a bunch of pussies, and are appalled at the thought of hunting in any form or fashion.
It's a goddam sad day when you can't count on a bird forum's moderator's inside sources. The initial source for the Meopta news has recanted the story. It was a misunderstanding with their source.
