Hey Rokslide! Staff has picked 10 finalists (the most our voting/poll software allows) from the entry thread here

Now it's Rokslide members' turn to pick the winner of the First Lite Core Kit & Bib Gear here!

Please vote on the photos in the poll at the top of the thread (If Tapatalk users can't see the poll, use full-site if you'd like to vote.)

Only Rokslide members with accounts registered by 2/18/25 will be counted towards winners (the fairest way to pick a winner), although those late votes will still show up in the poll.

We’ll leave the poll open until early March

Please, only one vote per person. If you think you can rig it by creating multiple member usernames and voting, @Jskaanland is all over you! If you're caught voting more than once, from multiple accounts you‘ll probably be shown the exit.

Also, if you made the finalist list, go ahead and vote on your own photo, it's fine and most everyone does anyway.

Here are the finalists in no particular order. Cast your vote in the poll at top of page using the member's name listed at top of each photo.

Congratulations to all, but I do get a kick out of the finals with no one wearing First lite camo. 😂
Lol! has happened in every contest at some point. Kryptek guy wins the Sitka contest or vica versa.

That's why people can't accuse us of rigging the finalists votes to include the sponsor. Has to be a great image regardless of gear worn. Sponsors have never pressured us to pick a certain photo. they know how it works.

although Bigboone1988 might have on Cipher?

Sitka EV2 fleece zip up but I do have a FL hat on

OK all, probably a pretty clear winner here but we always check to make sure rules were followed and minimum shenanigans occurred lol.

@Jskaanland work your magic and lmk!

Vote has been verfied and it's a complete landslide for @ADKHTR

Good job man.

If you could hit me with a PM with your email address, we'll get your First Lite gear coming. Would love to hear about it after you get some time on it.

Thanks everyone! And thanks First Lite!

Watch for 2025 contest to go live late summer

Without a doubt this is by far the nicest and most generous prize I have ever won in my life, I would like to personally thank the fine folks at First Lite for donating such a prize it’s very kind of them, I would also like to thank all the folks at Rokslide who make a contest like this even possible, I can’t imagine the work in running a forum like this is, I’m sure there is many people who are constantly doing hard work behind the scenes to keep this running so smooth, thank you for all you do!!! I will definitely be putting this to good use, and can’t wait for the 2025 season!!! Thanks again! -Jon Hill-

Well you are very welcome Jon and responses like this make all the hard work worth it.

Congrats and I'll watch for the PM.

My 2024 Adirondack buck! I hunt solo all season from a tent deep in the Adirondacks, moving locations often throughout the season in search of another mountain giant, I also self film all of my hunts, I was once again blessed this season with another great ADK buck, it was tough choosing a picture for this contest, it’s my first ever entry… but something about a big Adirondack buck getting brought out in my ADK Guide Boat seems to fit the narrative of how I hunt now, and the hunters of years past!

Congrats man! Really awesome solo adventure and sweet shot! As a photog nerd, I've pondered the various solo setups/timers/remote triggers/vid screen grab/etc. and I'm wondering how you pulled off that shot? As a guy with a gazillion self-timer photo fails, I would have worn myself out and churned up white caps on the water rowing back and forth trying to get it! 🤣 Any chance of spilling the secret sauce to that photo?

I carry one GoPro camera, one ultralight tripod, and my phone, battery management is the biggest hassle especially on a tent hunt but I deal with it, I don’t even own a computer, I do all my own video editing on just an Ipad, I have quite an elaborate GoPro carbon fiber arm setup to use in my boat when I’m solo, any drone work for my videos I enlist help obviously, the easiest way I have found to get good stills while solo of action shots like this is to just do screen shots of the video, it’s not too hard really just takes a little patience and messing around, I have my GoPro linked up with my phone and use that as a remote, yes all of this can be a pain, but if at any time it gets to be too much of a hassle I quit doing it, I’m there to hunt first and I refuse to let self filming ruin any of that!

Awww, gotcha. I was thinking you had set up a camera on the bank that you were either self-triggering/time-lapsing/video'ing, plus rowing a boat and doing who knows what else all at the same time! 😂

So like a 360 GoPro cam on a canoe-mounted inivisi-selfie stick setup - then screen grab a photo?
