I am selling a pair of Meindl Island MFS in a size 12 (EU46 / UK11)
This is a very sturdy full-leather boot with a Vibram sole and full rand, comparable to the Lowa Tibet, etc. I bought this boot in Germany where they are made, I don't know if there are any differences to the Island MFS sold on the American market. Meindl boots can be resoled for around $100.
Why I'm selling: I really loved this boot, unfortunately my feet have been swelling up during hot weather hunts, making these useless to me during my September bow season. I don't want to own two pairs of uninsulated boots and have switched to Lowas, now looking to find a new home for these puppies.
Condition: I have around 100 miles on these, as you can see in the pictures the sole is still in great condition and I have kept these clean and oiled. There is a little cut in the rand on one boot that is purely aesthetic (pictured). Comes with original laces and fully cleaned, I threw out the original insole, but the Meindl insole is essentially just a piece of cardboard and you will want your own in here. The color and labels have darkened a bit from the oil, waterproofing is impeccable.
Size: I'm on the bigger end of a size 12, not quite 12.5, and these work great for me with a pair of thick socks as long as it's under 70F. Past that, my feet swell up and they get too tight even with thin socks. I would really recommend these for someone with an 11.5, or even someone who wears a larger 11 and prefers some extra room.
Price: These currently retail around 240, I would be happy to let them go for half that. I may be open to a trade for a hooded down jacket (size L) or a rain shell in good condition (size XL, prefer companies with lifetime warranties like Patagonia, Marmot, etc). Prefer paypal, could also do a local meet-up in northern NM (SF / ABQ).
