I wanted to see if anybody has tried these boots. Was surfing meindl USA Today and saw them. I’m pretty sure they are the old Cabelas Alaskan meindl. If they are they should be a good stout boot. I think the old Alaskans had 200 grams of insulation but I think the new glockner is uninsulated. Thought I would try to get a little feedback before I tried them out.

I bought a pair a couple of years ago, and they've stood up fairly well from some fairly tough pack outs.. They're not the stiffest boot and they fit narrower than other German made Meindl's. I've found the German Meindl's are typically a little better built than the Cabela's Meindl's. When I bought my Glockners, a friend bought a pair of the Cabelas Meindl's, his fell apart in two years from light hiking (no hunting), mine survived 3 seasons of guiding.

I got them in the mail late last week. They definitely deserves a look as a serious mountain boot. It’s very well made and you are correct it is narrower than my old Tibet’s. I feel like not near the volume up front. Time will tell but so far so good. They are definitely a lot more stout than the Vakuum boot which is the old Denali from Cabelas.
