I'm looking for a pair of all leather boots for hunting. Which of these two have the wider toe box (ball of foot to toes)? I don't want an increase in volume in the rest of the boot though. I usually wear a 4E in regular shoes. I have found boots that are wide enough in the ball of foot area, but the toe box still too narrow and have messed up my toes . Thanks in advance for any help.

For me, I went with the Meindl comfort fit and the toe box is great. My understanding is the German boots are wider. I only tried on crispi Idaho boots and the toe box was not wide enough for me. My feet are like duck feet for what it’s worth, wider in the front and narrow in the back.

Went ahead and ordered the Meindl Comfort Hunters. Found a deal on Ebay for almost $100 off. Initially seem to be the right choice. Quite a bit more room in the toe box but no added volume through the rest of the boot. I will wear them around indoors for a a few, but really like them so far. I wish they had a full rand on them, but not sure I need it.

the Vakuum hunter’s has a full rand and the fit should be similar. I have wide feet and use them.
