I wore out three pair of the cabelas Miendl perfekt hikers - do you find the current Miendl Comfort Fit Hikers fit the same as the perfekt? Been needing a new pair but hesitated due to that question - thanks
Yes, they fit and wear the same. A little more rand and look slightly different but just as good.

After reading many reviews both on and off this forum, I purchased the Hunter 400 for my CO hunt last fall. I was looking for something to replace my Pronghorn's which just were not comfortable anymore. Could not be happier with the comfort, traction and over all feel of my feet liking these boots. I am a size 11 via the branack measurement, so tried the 10.5 and 11 shoe (because I wear a liner sock and merino sock). So even though Meindl says to go down 1/2 size with this boot, I stayed with the 11 because of the socks and they fit perfect. Could not be happier and in talking with the guys at Meindl USA , very pleased with their insight and helping one find the right size boot.

I have two pairs of Denalis, which the now the Vakuum. I love them. I also have a pair of the Cabelas Perfekt 400s, which they now don't make, thought the 400 gram Comfort Fit is probably more like it. I'd go Vakuums every time. I use them for all my western stuff and use the Perfekt 400s for deer hunting down to maybe 40 degrees. The Perfekts just feel chunky in comparison.

I have 3 friends that recently bought Vakuums as well and they all love them.

I got a pair of the Vaakum hunters. Customer services has been amazing.

The factory insoles are really good, which never seems to happen with other brands.

How long has the break-in period for you guys been? For me these do require some break-in time.

I would say a couple weeks of wearing them daily putting a mile or two on them. With some weekend hikes that were longer and very wet/swampy.

I like the cork-footboards included in the Comfort Fit models. I have the Extreme and love them!
