Alright guys, I believe I’ve decided to try out Meindl USA boots, but can’t make up my mind between the Comfort Fit Hunter 400, the Vakuum Hunter, and the Comfort Fit Extreme.
What is your experience with these boots?
Pros / Cons to each.

I have the cabelas version of the comfort fit hunter 400. They are a very comfortable boot. Little to no break in period. I wear a good merino sock (first lite) and very rarely get cold feet. Mine does not have the rubber rand protection. I wish it did for extra protection. I would definitely buy again. I wear a size 10 in Saucony tennis shoes and a size 9 in all boots for a size reference.

I have the comfort I got early last year. My feet run hot so wasn't needing the insulation. Was looking at the vacuum, but wasn't as wide or in the places I needed it to fit I was told by one of their fitters it wouldn't work as well as the comfort. Not bad boots.

Did you get the comfort hunters or comfort extreme?

I got the vakuum hunters last year and they are great. I can’t give them any cons yet with about 120 miles on them so far. I had a pair of lightweight hunters in 800 g insulation so I knew my boot size when I ordered online. I called and asked about all the boots and picked the vakuum hunters based on their recommendation. I would give them a call and describe the terrain your looking at using them in. I use mine for bear hunting swamps in northern Wisconsin and elk hunting in Colorado.

I have the comfort fit extremes and am really impressed with them. I followed all their treatment recommendations and have been very pleased with the results. Break in was nice and blister free and they have kept my feet bone dry. I have used them through a lot of deadfall and pulped off areas and they did great at keeping me from twisting or injuring ankles. I also used them on uneven terrain and have no complaints. I really like how they fit my wide feet without feeling like my feet had to stretch them out sideways. I've had to deal with corns from my toes being pushed together by footwear but with these boots I've never had that issue. I would strongly recommend their boots with comfort fit tech if you are in search of something with a wider toebox.

Love my vacuum hunters. Going into the 4th season on them. Not one blister. Their customer service was great when I purchased these so I’d give them a call and discuss options.

I have and love the Comfort Fit Hiker. I tried and almost kept the Valuum Hunter, but I found that it couldn’t hold my heel down quite as well as the other.

I tried on several dozen boots, and these were the best for me.

I got the vacuums. I love them. Make sure you order down a size. They run big.

I have the Comfort Fit Hiker and the Hunter 400. I think they fit the same. Obviously you need to size down when buying these and they indicate this on the website. Even though I downsized 1/2 size I still need to wear my heavier socks with these boots as they are still a hair big. I would buy them again. They have held up well and are comfortable. I like the extra toe room.

The hunter is a great boot, I've had the ultralights too but they wear out fast due to more seams and flex but are really light weight. I'll get the hikers at some point too

The extreme are taller and the valkum are stiffer but I'd call and talk to them about which model is best their customer service is great, the 1/2 size down was spot on for me but naturally I didn't listen and got my regular size and had to exchange for a 1/2 size down which are perfect

Comfort fit hunter, hiker, and extreme all have the same last profile that is slighterly wider in the forefoot with wide toe box. These fit me fantastic. The Vakkum Hunter and glockner have a more traditional last, but still a decent size toe box. These fit me OK. Length is comparable across the board in my experience. I’d try one of the comfort fits and a vakkum/glockner to see which fits your foot best.

I’m leaning toward the Comfort Fit Hunter 400, my feet do t sweat much and I believe the 400 gram insulation would be fine.

I’ve been wearing the Comfort Fit Hikers for over 20 years (on my fourth pair). The original two pair were the Cabala Perfekt’s. I wear them year round. If I’m not at work (office job) i have them on. They just fit my feet.

I wore out three pair of the cabelas Miendl perfekt hikers - do you find the current Miendl Comfort Fit Hikers fit the same as the perfekt? Been needing a new pair but hesitated due to that question - thanks

I’ve tried numerous boots, and none of them fit me as good as the old cabelas perfekt hikers. I hope they never wear out cuz I love em. I guess when they do, I’ll have to figure out which one of the new ones is the most similar. I have the 400 gram and they are perfect for everything I use em for.
