Nice old hotel. And yes they have some very impressive mounts. Stayed there 2 years ago before heading up into the Flat Tops wilderness for a first season elk drop camp hunt. Managed to kill a nice bull but nothing like those in the Meeker Hotel.

Ah yes, Meeker, the town of extortion. How much a night was a room for the hotel there? $300?

Going by memory, the taxidermist charges $3,850 for a half mount of a bear, and the local brewery charges $75 for 3 burgers w/fries and three waters............. Oh ya, and you have to get your water from the water fountain. lol WTF.

I honestly didn't leave Meeker feeling like prices were out of hand. My room at the hotel was like $80 a night.

If anyone needs a good cooler the Ace Hardware wells 120 quart coolers for like $110. Super nice people. They are good coolers. Some hunting gear in there as well.

Little Bear Cafe was good and reasonably priced food.

Ah , yes , the Meeker Hotel. Always have breakfast or steak dinner there when we get there after our 24 hour drive. It’s tradition for us. On the way out heading home it’s always dinner at the Mexican restaurant in town. Best we’ve ever had for mex. Have never stayed at the hotel but prices are good and the Mexican is very reasonable too. I love Meeker and have made some great friends around there
