In case anyone finds this thread searching for medium length receiver stuff, here's a quick update on current magazines.
I have 2 medium barreled actions, a 7WSM and a 284WIN. Both are interchangeable between a XLR Element (2023 version with the updated mag well) and a carbon fiber stock with a M5 inlet w/DBM.
Magazines for the 7WSM are Unknown Munitions "magnum" (for XLR only) and MDT "magnum" that works in the XLR and Hawkins M5 D-Mag. For the 284WIN, MDT "standard" that I can use in either stock. All 3 magazine types have room to spare @ 3.22" OAL and work great in the XLR chassis. Feeding is excellent!
