MeatEater!!!

Still pretty good, if the only real complaint so far is a patch the show is doing something right

For sure. I guess without advertising we wouldn't get to have guys like him on TV. I just hate advertising in general. I just want to see the experience without adds in my face and that goes for everywhere. Take the good with the bad I guess and Meateater appears to be well worth it.

Speaking of, movie we were watching just ended. Time to fire up Netflix for some Meateater.

I'd have to say that if Vortex is the big advertiser for MeatEater, I don't mind throwing them a few bones, just because.

Have never been able to pull the trigger on a scope, but tempted.

All in all I think meateater does their advertising well, unlike other hunting shows that dedicate half the time to talking about the products, they just make sure the product logo is on camera while filming, he's even taken all the ads off his podcasts

He really impressed me with the episode where he was fishing in the jungle. Actually both those episodes. It was really interesting to see him out of his element and you really got a glimpse of his morals.

Me too. It's refreshing to see people stick to their own ethics and voice them so openly.

Steven is great to work with and they will tell you straight up that there is no product whoring. Love his show! By far my favorite.

I have not watched a hunting show in many years, and I never cared for the trophy aspect of most lf them. With what is on Netflix I am a season and a half into this show and the host has barely even killed an animal. This show is about hunting, not trophies and I am impressed. Even his mule deer he killed was a great buck and never once was there a mention of how big. I cannot stand shows that immediately after a kill they practically ,or literally, have a tape on it.

This show reminds me of Anthony Bourdains shows. I explained it to my wife like he is the Bourdain of hunting. He explains his positions and frame of thought. If you like food and travel check out his shows.

Anthony Bourdain's show is produced by the same company, zero point zero (no reservations and is new one). I would love to see an episode with rinella and bourdain hunting.

Watch Chefs Table on Netflix. Outstanding series. What the world needs is a collaboration between Francis Mallman and Rinella.

That would be awesome as Bourdain has killed the food many times on his show. Although, who would do the narrating? I guess they would have to take turns.

Rhinella's original show, The Wild Within, was originally on the Travel Channel. Pretty cool to see hunting and cooking of wild game on more main stream TV especially how he was able to get the message across to many viewers that probably had not clue what hunting is actually about. My wife would even sit down with me to watch that one.

Pretty sure I never saw any camo or even any known sponsors gear on any of those episodes.

His books are great too. I have a female friend who's Buddhist and loves his work.

Now that's saying something.

American Buffalo is a great read. That fact that he borrowed a rifle for such an epic hunt, speaks volumes about where the majority of us waste our efforts.

Not trying to start rumors but I think they filmed one for next season. I might be confusing that with the episode AB did with Joe Rogan.

Meateater is great. I think the comment about the patch on his bino harness is the first negative review I have seen about anything he produces. That's rare.

I just watched the first two episodes last night and all I can say is... AMAZING!! I love how they film the hunt and the real struggles they encounter out there. I can't wait to watch more of their show!
