Good video, thank you for posting! I appreciate the amount of work it took to setup the test, collect the information, and deliver the results to us. Well done Janis and crew!

I watched and I wondered if I saw the same video as the dissenters in this thread. I didn’t see/hear them opine anything that 98% of hunters wouldn’t have also said.

All the bullets seemed to perform how I’d expect.
Them folks didn’t seem to appreciate the Berger’s method of killing. Lots of folks don’t. Ford vs Chevy.

I want to know how the mono performed the best at 140 yards, when at all distances it created a narrower wound than the bonded bullet and Berger. I guess what really matters in terminal performance is how cool it looks when It breaks the bone.

I think it depends on your opinions on "better". They seemed to like how the bullet broke the bone, traveled in a pretty straight path, and how the recovered bullet looked.

Some folks like short, large diameter temporary wound channels in gel. Some folks like long slender temporary wound channels in gel. Some folks prefer to discuss permanent wound channels.
Them folks didn't seem to like that the Berger let loose a few inches after entry even though that's what the bullets advertised to do. Kind of like buying a 2 seater and then complaining that it doesn't have a back seat.
Its just opinion, nothing more.

The issue is that those 98% of hunters don’t understand what they are saying or seeing, and putting out an informational video that itself is seriously lacking in facts or reality only perpetuates the misinformation and myths.

They didn’t say “I don’t like how much damage there is with the Berger”, they said- “fail” multiple times. The bullet didn’t fail, far from it.

“The narrow, deep wounds that Barnes TTSX’s create generally result in longer times to incapacitation and farther movement after the hit. Meat damage will be less than other bullet types however.
The extremely wide wound that Bergers create generally results in noticeably faster times to incapacitation, and much less distance traveled after the hit. Additionally, due to the delayed fragmentation, penetration through bone isn’t a problem, and meat damage on the entrance side is usually very minor.”

That’s how the video should have addressed the results, but that wouldn’t work for advertising.

berger or eld cup & core that dont punch two holes for a nice bloody trail , I really like a bonded or mono for that reason.
we have a high recovery rate on nilgai and elk with holes on both sides
nosler Partion , accubond, swift A frame, fedral fusion!
barnes ttsx, CX , sako blades. Ect

cool pictures are LDP with the hunters & game

Anyone that believes a cute little mushroomed bullet and 30” of penetration is a perfect killing bullet has definitely bought into the Marketing Hype.

If you look at the 500 yard Berger shot. It hits high and still had massive damage. It’s the only bullet of the three that could save a shot that’s off the mark. I hit a bear high last spring. The 215 Berger made a marginal high shot a quick death. The Berger will just get better the farther the shot compared to the other two.

Federal makes Terminal Ascent bullets… no surprise that was the winner… ding ding ding!

Only if that cute little mushroomed bullet exists. That’s what I want and has proven to work for me over the years. No marketing hype needed for me. 😂
