Meat cooler

Does anyone know if there is a place, someone who has a refrigerated locker, near Crested Butte or Gunnison to store your elk in when you come off the mountain?

Check with the local grocery stores, we have had luck in the past with them letting us put a cooler full of meat in their freezer to hard freeze the meat for the trip home. With current health regs that may not be a thing anymore....I dunno.

There is a city market and a Safeway in Gunnison. I can’t imagine either of those would allow you to hang an elk in their freezer.

Not looking for someone to process it, just a place to store it until we leave for home.
Do you know if he allows storage for a fee?

You would have to call him and ask, I’m not sure. If it is second rifle season, I do have a place where you could store it.

Make a friend, go to wal mart, buy a deep freeze and a cord. Just a thought.
