What's the general consensus on how everyone measures their groups.
With a caliper are you measure farthest 2 outside points then subtracting bullet diameter? Not subtracting bullet diameter ?
Trying to find the center of farthest 2 bullet impacts and measuring center to center?

I measure outside of one hole and inside of the other so no subtraction or statistical analysis needed.

Mean radius may have a place in shooting that has a high probability of multiple misses, but for accuracy to hit a vital zone every shot, simple largest diameter of group is more useful.

Using a digital caliper, open to bullet diameter then rezero. Now any outside to outside measurement is "center to center". Otherwise outside to outside minus bullet diameter.

I usually fish a spent case out of my pocket and guesstimate actual extreme spread by comparing it to the known (nominal) length of whatever case I was shooting. Alternately I might measure extreme spread by seeing how many times a spray paint can lid will fit between my two most extreme shots on steel. I can measure the width of the lid later if I think about it again - I usually don't.

I guess I'd ask......what are you doing with said group sizes? If they're only for your purposes, then does it matter what method you use? Just keep it consistent and you have your data. Personally, ever since I was a kid I measured outside to outside, and that was the group size. That's what made the most sense to me.

The “standard” is center of bullet hole to center of bullet hole of the two farthest apart shots. How you do that is up to you. Center to center, outside to outside and subtract bullet diameter, ballistics app, etc.
