Mcmillan Edge Cracked Stock

Yesterday I noticed that my McMillan Game Warden stock that has been on a Tikka in 280 AI cracked on both sides of the front pillar. I emailed McMillan and they said that they will fix it but I have to send it back to AZ. I live in Canada so I'm wondering if I can save myself the shipping and duty and repair it myself. Does anyone on here have any experience repairing McMillan edge fill stocks?

I sent one back for the same thing. They turned it around in about 3 weeks. So far so good. It’s on a fairly light 6.5 Creed
