50% of my McGowen barrels have needed to be rechambered directly from the shop.

My advice: Buy a barrel from preferred and never look back @ Mcgowen.

Left a couple of VMs last month, got callbacks this week (on both of them) from someone at Carbon Six. Their new ECM line is still coming up to speed and they are working through the backlog of older orders.

I'll check back later this year to see how that is going, as I'm interested in how that stuff performs.

Gtfo! You mean to tell me they are returning your call from last month, but wont return calls or emails from months ago? In a day and age where the consumer has lots of options. Customer service is what sets companies apart. Mcgowen is no longer an option in my eyes.

Short. Wouldn't chamber some ammo, or a go gauge, so it was reamed again and will now chamber. Reamed .008" deeper to reach SAAMI spec and verified with go/no go gauges

Yeah I’m at 24 almost 25 weeks of wait time with zero communication. If I had received any word back I wouldn’t be frustrated. Even a simple we are backed up or are waiting on a shipment or are improving our facilities would be better than no response at all. An informed customer can deal with a lot more than one left in the dark. It truly feels as if they took the money and ran.

Yeah I’m at 5 months on a blank with 6 week estimated wait time haha. Voicemail box has been full for months and emails arnt being answered anymore

I just order one for the safe every year during the sale. $240 for a good blank is hard to beat

My two showed up, machining is looks good. About the only thing not as I ordered was the dasher came matte finished instead of polished, which is fine, that’s what I usually use. Think polished resists safe rash a little better though. Dasher headspaced correctly. Haven’t shot it yet. 223AI looks good, haven’t spun it on yet as I’ll need to throat it. That was planned, not something they missed. I’d rather do it myself and get it just where I want it.
