for those of yall running cams already, what are you seeing for below avg, avg and above avg antler growth at this point in the year?
 
Looks like below average to me. Lots of thin looking racks.
A lack of mast crop last fall, 4 weeks of snow/ice cover, and an early spring drought are going to have impacts.
 
I have a good handful of 5-6” spikes and then ones like this. These are only on a small portion of the property with a couple cams running. I’m putting out more cams this month on a 400 acre section I havnt ever been really.

Now, I’m in central va, zero ag. Healthy mix of cow pasture, mature pines and mature hardwood stands and def thick patches inbetween of laurel and berries and just thick nasty shit. One oe two of the couple hundred acre pine stands are very mature and very thick under growth. Lots of secure areas. Lots of old hardwood. This will be my first year food plotting a couple acres and next year even more
