Max points in WY cow elk hunt

I am a WY nonres. I have max points. I am wanting to do an archery cow elk hunt and use this year for scouting in preparation for next( hopefully draw my premium tag). I may also combine the combine the cow hunt with mule deer if I can draw a tag for the area. I can not afford a guide so that eliminates wilderness and private access. I have hunted several years in ID and CO both OTC. I am looking to focus on units 16,22, and 24. I have a good chance to draw bull tags there next year. The 30s units are still long draw odds and quality is trending down. If anyone has any input on the above I would appreciate the help in a PM. Thanks in advance .

I am sure U no. That even with max points U are not guaranteed to draw. U got about 50% chance at 16 and 24. And about 10% at 22. So U might get a few years of cow hunting. As far as mule deer. 16(70 deer) and 24(96 deer) are general deer. 22(87 deer) is a draw. It will all depend how many tags Wyoming give out this year.....Good luck...
