Anybody know if the Maven tripod adapter is the only one to fit a set of C1’s? Will a vortex adapter fit?
Thank you!You can use any threaded adaptors with them. I have b2 and b5 and have used the kdc and outdoorsmans adaptors without any problem.
Thank you for the feedback. I believe I’m going to go ahead and just get the Maven adapter. Do you have any recommendations on a tripod?I was at sheep show and they said any thread adapters work but that the maven and outdoorsman function a little better than others. I bought the one from maven and have liked it so far.
so I've had a couple. And my recommendations would be tied to your price range. I want something more stable than flimsy. I also really like light weight which means if I check both of those boxes then its $$$$. I recently went with a Silk carbonfiber. Its definitely my favorite so far.
This is good advice! I tried cutting corners for years with my tripods. Have a bin in the garage filled with all sorts of nonsense before I finally ponied up the money for a decent carbon fiber tripod. Couldn't be happier and wish I would have done it sooner.
I have switched to the silk carbon fiber 634 and I can use it standing or sitting and it is low weight and very sturdy, I've used it on windy days and uneven terrain etc. Ive had some that were Aluminum in the past and they were fine but heavy in comparison and loud. Anytime I brushed up against something in dense growth it was clank clank clank. I ended up having to keep it in the internal part of my pack so it was quiet. Another I had was lighter and didn't make as much noise (maybe because the legs poles were smaller in diameter???? IDK) but it was really finicky especially in the wind....it caused the image to be shaky which made it hard to spot....so I kept packing the larger heavy louder one....until I broke down and bought a carbon fiber. I use my spotting scope a ton and I feel it has made me a more efficient hunter. I won't turn away from a high end glass and tripodsThank you CougarBlue. My plan is just to buy once and cry once. At least until I upgrade optics but a tripod could be used no matter the optic
