IsI did a review between the Vortex Razor HD 85 mm and the Maven S.1A 80mm. I had both of them looking at mountain goats 600-1000 yards away and the maven blew the vortex out of the water in clarity and light gathering early in the morning. I agree 100% that the maven is worth the money.
awesom, Is the review on here? I’m going to have to find a Canadian dealer I guess. Thanks for the imput.I did a review between the Vortex Razor HD 85 mm and the Maven S.1A 80mm. Maven is direct to consumer. Not sure what buying in Canada would look like but they offer a demo program where you can use a like new one for 2 weeks. I think you get it for 10% off if you keep it or get a refund if you send it back in like new condition. Is

It’s a fluorite glass objective lens. That where it’s extra brightness comes in and the cost as well. If it wasn’t direct to consumer it prob be running in the 3k mark at retail. I’ve looked through them and they are nice. They are a tiny tiny notch below a swaro.Does maven just use ED glass? I’m a little confused as to why they don’t use HD? Maybe I am bad off.
