Maven S.3a vs Kowa tsn66 spotter

I use a spotter a few times a year on my hunts. Quality build and quality glass are super important. I’d like the Kowa, but have a hard time paying that price for something that will see light duty. Really like the idea of the 60x zoom on the Kowa also. Maybe Maven will come out with stronger zoom eyepiece?

My second option is the Maven. Will I kick myself if I don’t bite the bullet and get the Kowa? Other than the zoom, is that glass noticeably better on the Kowa?

I recently switched from the Maven S.1S to the Kowa TSN 66S. The Kowa is noticeably better glass, far easier to get a sharp image, and 20x more zoom than the Maven S.3A. If I could do it again I'd go straight to Kowa, if budget allows. S and S archery is 10% off Kowa...

i have the TSN66s. Never had any other spotter before but its amazing. image is comparable to my nl pure 12 forsure

Thanks. Helpful info. I’m currently running the old Kowa 663 and find I get frustrated with picture when using the higher zoom on the 20x-60x eyepiece. I ended up switching to the fixed 30x wide angle eyepiece which helped with clarity, but now lacks the higher power. Curious how much better the Maven S3a would be compared to my Kowa 663?

emmagator, I have an opportunity to purchase a kowa 664. What did you not like about the image on higher zoom? Old reviews have it on par with the non hd swaros (wonder what you think). That being said, I'm following this and learning- interested about what direction you go. Ever think about a used Swarovski 65 HD? I've seen quite a few in the $1800-$2000.
