Been researching a lot of different options, and it seems like everyone recommends Swaro or Kowa. I get the buy once cry once mentality, but always searching for the best value.
Will be going on my first mule deer hunt in Colorado this year so looking for a spotting scope. The maven seems reasonable and I like the availability of the reticle eyepieces. I’m thinking the straight would work best for me so I could also mount on my tripod next to binos for PRS matches.
Really looking for real world use and feedback most YouTube videos seem like just reading specs. Do you find the 20-40 zoom is not enough? Does it hold clarity at high magnifications? It is a heavier scope should just look at the S.1 for small weigh penalty?
