Maven S.2 vs Vortex 13-39 x 56?

I was comparing the specs and reviews on these two spotters a few months ago and decided to pull the trigger on the Maven since I couldn't find the 13-39 straight version at the time.

Even though the Maven hasn't left the house yet, I'm having a little buyer's remorse about only having 27x magnification.

Does anyone have both of these that can provide some insight on optical quality comparison?
I am very happy with the optics of the Maven and don't want to trade down just to get more magnification.

Thank you in advance!

I know this is an older thread but I’m looking at both these as a compact spotting scope for backpack hunts. Did you ever come to terms with the maven or did you end up with something different? I love all my Maven glass thus far but that magnification does seem lacking…

I am happy with the Maven optics and the magnification is OK for New England woods. I would not want to take it out west or anywhere I need to glass for hundreds of yards though.

I routinely glass out to about 2 miles with 15X binos - you'll be fine out west. There are many places where even 10X binos are too much (timber, tight canyons, etc.) Every hunt is different, and the Youtube influencers saying that you need a spotter in the first place probably don't live the same reality as the rest of us. Having primo OIL tags year after year and needing to field judge full curl rams is just not a problem I have. I just need to find animals and then make a move to get closer. Haven't missed my spotter at all.

I don't like using one eye for long glassing sessions, so I sold my Vortex Razor spotter, but that one sucked on max zoom anyway. I believe a primary difference between Maven and Vortex is that Maven limits the zoom to the capabilities of the glass, whereas Vortex wants the spec sheet to have the higher zoom. Clarity totally falls apart at max zoom, but is great at lower power.
