Maven RS4.2

Thanks for doing this and putting in the work. Seems like a good pass to me, with the only concerns potentially being shots 3 and 8, but I feel like they fall within an acceptable margin of error for reasons that are not out of the question (ie, being human, breaking position for each shot, etc). Additonally, seems like if a scope is going to lose zero, the thrown shots fall way further out, based on what I've gathered from Form's tests.

Anyway, good stuff man

Sure. Isn't there video attached?
Yes. Will have to watch from a non restricted computer. Work thinks this some nasty dark web porn and blocked the video.

Thanks for sharing you testing. Maybe this is in the video but what made you decide to test drops so much higher than Form's test? Dropping rifles off horseback perhaps. Just wanting to see the limits?

Damn! Hard but fun to watch. Appreciate the effort at transparency going in one take. I would say it held up pretty well. A little shift but not much. Happy to see some potential changes with Maven’s line up. Thank you very much.

1) I have with other scopes and it has worked out fine. https://www.rokslide.com/maven-rs1-2-riflescope-review/
2a) trying to eliminate any well-but statements, or nay-saying about drop height, padding, whatever.
2b) theatre.
3) that action and stock and pic rail are new to me and I wanted to start learning how my bedding job was.
4) frankly, the scopes I would want to see someone I am helping show up to a hunt with should be able to handle that.

how do you like the scope?

The zero stop setting has been more of a pain than the RS6 was. I am either missing something with the steps or have to accept how it is. Each time we have gone to set it I have moved the dial an unknown number of clicks. The last time I left the range I thought I had counted the clicks it moved, but Cindy said it was one more. I think she was right and it was .1 high on the zero group.

I also think it can only be set to actually stop at -1, but have been reluctant to mess with it further because I thought it came home zeroed on 0 the last time. I dropped it .1 when I got home after this last session, and of course goofed setting the zero again. So, next time will need re-zeroed and if I get free time this week I'll mess with the turret more and figure out why I can't get it right.

Other than that, it's fine. If you've used a RS1.2 it's the same thing just bigger.

Looks promising.
This is the right answer. I am not going to shoot small groups or in any way impress anyone with my paper holes. I also greatly underestimated shooting at a flo yellow 3/4" dot on white paper with the sun on it looking through suppressor mirage. @KickinNDishin did this test on the same Tikka/Bravo I typically use, and I am pretty sure the knee height left side shot #3 also went low right. So, it will take another 3-5 sessions to ferret out what the cause of that is.
