Last year I purchased a pair of Maven C1 binos, and I really like them. They really are a great value. Well, I had a Leupold vx2 on a lightweight 6.5 Creedmoor, I had been fighting to get it to shoot consistently well. I finally pulled a heavy Vortex off one of my other rifles, and the 6.5 was shooting clover leafs. So, looks like I’m in the market for a lightweight riflescope. I’ve had good luck with Vortex, but they are heavy. That was my first Leupold, and probably my last. I was reading about the Maven RS2, and it really sounds right up my alley. Anyone have any experience with this scope?

That vx2 is technology from the past. Cant really dog on them based off their vx2 line

Not dogging on Leupold, simply stating I had an issue with the one I got, and so that typically takes them out of my rotation of things I want to buy a second time :-)

Yea I understand, I would check out their higher end scopes, I've had great luck with their performance. Vx3i and up.

The rifle I killed my elk with last season was topped with an RS2. I liked it, but swapped it out due to shorter eye relief than I’m accustomed to. Had I not had it mounted on a lightweight rifle chambered in .338 wm, I would’ve kept it. They’re light weight, bright and clear. Overall solid scopes IMO.

Any one else using these scopes that can give their input?
They seem to be ideal for what i want on my 30-06 Ai a light bright scope with 2x mag for thick brush and 10x for out in the open. my only concern is the eye relief?

Thanks
