I have read the Rok Slide review on the Maven CRS line. Is anyone using a CRS1 on thier rifle? If so can you provide any feedback? Im looking for a scope for my mesa in 7mm-08 that runs around the same cost.

Well I will say this, I paid for the cheapest shipping and it showed up today. Hoping to mount it sometime this weekend and shoot Monday.

Curious what your first impression is on that scope. I keep looking at it and with the sale going on it sure likes good as far as specs. Really like that it isn't 20+ ozs. May just need to order one to check it out.

my initial impression is that it seems really well built. I also like the weight and think it will pair nicely with my 7mm-08. I’ll pull it out here when it starts to get dark and see how it does.

I've been eyeing the RS.2 2-10X38 to pair with a Kimber Montana chambered in 6.5CM (currently has a Burris FFII Ballistic Plex Reticle) but seems I'm always grabbing the Fierce Fury 7mm-08 that has a Z3 3-10X42 BRH.....still tempted while these are on sale.

I looked at the 2x10 x 38 real long and hard. I basically used my Wyoming refund that is coming back to purchase this scope.

got out with the kids today and shot my rifle with the CRS1 scope mounted on it. The only thing I didn’t like was the short eye relief but I bought that knowing it. Other than that I’m fairly confident it will work just fine for what I intend to use it for.

This is an old post, but feedback is important. I'm using the CRS.1 on my CVA Cascade 30-06. I'm pretty impressed with it. I put it through some pretty nasty rain and cold weather during this last hunting season. It performed flawless. When setting my zero, the turrets were very crisp and precise. The image quality is very impressive, especially at low light. Its a solid lightweight scope.

I would say my only complaint is that I wish it had a little more eye relief. Its fine up to 9 power, but it can get a little hard to look through it at 12 power. The image quality is better than my Vortex Viper HS 2.5-10x44, but I prefer the eye relief of the Viper. You aren't going to smack your self in the face with the Maven, but I wish the eye relief was a little better. That being said, It wouldn't stop me from buying another one.
