It what I’ve used for years. Have a vortex diamondback, and Bruntin Echo, and the Mavens blow them out of the water.

Side by side in the same configuration, no. A hunting buddy uses a pair of the 18x56 Kaibabs. My 12x50 Maven C are significantly better in brightness, edge distortion, and color. But you’d sorta expect that comparing 12x to 18x. I don’t think you’d be unhappy with the Mavens if you are limited on budget. Mine were purchased by my employer, but I’d spend my own money on them.

My 18s are Maven C4's. They are really great glass for the money. The only issue I find when compared to my near-alpha 10x binos (Monarch HG's) is that the color saturation isn't in the same tier. I MIGHT upgrade next year but they do a dang good job.
