I finally picked up some B6 10x50 and they are impressive.

I had the B2 for years and loved them but could not get used to the shallow depth of field and they were huge but a great image. The B6 has much better depth of field and I like the size.

For a 10x50 they have a great field of view when I was comparing with other 10x50’s such as the Tract Toric.

Even though a little chubby these may be my favorite Mavens yet just haven’t tried the B1.2 yet.

Anyone else a fan of the B6? Have you compared with B2 or B1.2 and what are your thoughts?

I have the 12x50 variant of the B6’s and have been very happy. I have had a couple versions of their C line of binos and the B6s are noticeably more clear and the overall feel of the bino seems better.

Awesome I would be curious how the 12’s are but these 10’s are just excellent for me

Honestly, Im not sure if the reduction in FOV is worth the little extra magnification. I mainly use my 10x42 geovids because they provide a few more benefits than the mavens but I still like to the use the 12x50’s when I am out scouting.

I also went from the B2’s to the B6’s this year. I think the B6 is the gem of their optics line, it’s really a fantastic optic. Not just fantastic for the price, but fantastic period. Great color fidelity/contrast, superb edge to edge, incredible low light performance, and a form factor that can’t be beat for a 10x50.

I’m excited to use them for. Great specs for 50mm objective for sure!

You’ll love them. The depth of field is one of the main reasons I got rid of the B2’s. They felt fiddly to get focused. Once they were dialed in, they were so crisp. But it felt like it took so much fiddling and tinkering to get the B2’s dialed in and focused, going back and forth with the focus knob multiple times until I got it. The B6’s aren’t that way, they focus easy and obviously. Plus the field flattener in the B2’s gave me a headache, and the B6’s don’t have it. I also felt like the B6’s were way brighter in low and poor lighting conditions.

You’ll love them, they absolutely come to life in low light conditions.
