Maven b1 vs b2

Looking to see if anyone knows any advantage between the Maven b1 vs b2. I’m looking at the b110x42s or the b2 11x45s. Other than the obvious extra 1x power, is there advantage to the extra $150 price tag the b2s have over the b1s? Thanks for the input.

I think the only difference other than the lens size options is the prism glass. B1 is schmidt-pechan b2 is Abbe-koenig. Can’t really speak to the actual in use difference but abbe-Koenig is supposed to be higher quality.

Aside from the prism difference, the B2 has a flattened field, the B1 does not. There is no right/wrong/better/worse in that regard, it is just a preference of each person's eye.

Order them both and send back the ones you don’t want to keep. Great demo program. I tried B1’s and B2’s and kept the B1’s. Everyone’s eyes are a little different as are the ergonomics between B1 and B2. Both are excellent glass.

I liked the B2 9x45s a lot and used them for two seasons before upgrading to SLC 10x42s.
