Don’t really know much about this piece other than it’s a 30-06 and it has a pretty sweet stock. I don’t have a need for a 4th 30-06 but wouldn’t hate to keep it either just thought i would throw it on here to see if there was someone who would appreciate it more than me. If you have any questions feel free to ask I’ll do my best to answer them. Asking $700 shipped to your FFL IMG_1109.jpegIMG_1110.jpegIMG_1111.jpegIMG_1112.jpegIMG_1113.jpegIMG_1114.jpegIMG_1115.jpeg

There's a growing market for "original" sporterized military actions like this, most of which were done between the 1920s and the 1970s. Yours has a stock that bears a lot of the shapes/stylistic Weatherby influences from the 50s or 60s. Part of what makes them appealing is their largely bomb-proof actions, nostalgia, and quite often finding genuinely unique expression in how their stocks and sometimes even metalwork are finished. A lot were absolutely bubba'd into abominations, but a lot were done by fine craftsmen too. Yours hits a lot of what collectors really appreciate and value in them. They aren't presently too expensive, but there's definitely a solid, growing market for them specifically. Good luck with your sale, the right person would really be into this gun.

I love the Mauser action I built my own 25-06 on someone else’s screwed up mess and made a fine rifle. I just don’t need this one too haha. It is unique. Thanks for the info and input!

Careful, there are milsurp collectors out there who would see such apostasy as a violent provocation. Like, they're weird about it.
That's one of the reasons I've never messed with it, gramp's gun, dad's and mine for now 50 years. I still take it on my hunts for nostalgia and to show my partners. I still take it out with me now and again. 8mm Mauser, no scope, just open sights.
