Mauser 98 8mm trigger guard problem

Purchased a Bell & Carlson stock for my Mauser 98, barrel and action fit perfectly. My problem is with the trigger guard it’s to long to fit the stock and is also touching on the back of the magazine.

So is there a aftermarket trigger guard that I can purchase to correct this?…. I would prefer not to try and grind or sand as I am not good and know nothing about were to start. Don’t won’t be damage the stock.

Maybe someone with more knowledge and experience can point me in the right direction

That seems like maybe a manufacturing defect. What model Mauser are you using?
