I have a Mathews v3x that I love. It has the 70lb switchweight backed down to 65lbs about 1 turn. Would I be better off getting the 65lb switch weight?

I shoot my v3x 33 at low/mid 60s with 70# mods because that’s all the shop had. My googling indicated there was little downside to doing this, is that incorrect?

No difference. Do it however you desire.

Some bows backing off the limbs will slightly change the brace and draw length, the parallel limbs on the v3's won't pivot out, so things stay consistent

You won’t notice a difference in performance. You can go either route.

I had about a 2-3 fps difference in swapping mods vs backing off. I had about a 5 fps difference in 80% vs 85% mods, as well.

I would get the 65# mod. I did just to remove any turning or set up issues. I figured its easier to always have the limbs cranked down then always backing them down over and over.

I’m planning to get a set of 60# mods for mine for indoor shoots, spring practice and 3d. Probably go back the 70’s mid summer
