I was looking for a Mathews Bridgelock compatible mount for the A1i Pro and my V3X 33" and at the time (I started this journey in January 2022) no one had made one. I am lucky enough to have a few friends in the industrial design and machining world so I got with a buddy of mine and started designing one.
Right after we started in January/February, Garmin came out with their adapter. However, it was a question as to when I would get one and after seeing the pictures, I didn't like the extra plate and screws you had to use to offset the sight. So we continued.
Then a little while after that Arizona Archery Club came out with theirs which I bought, installed, liked, and thought would solve my problem. It worked until I realized it extended the sight out so far that the V3X no longer fit in my Pelican Bow Air Case by about 1/2 inch. So we continued.
Then one night, as I was re-taping the extra trigger cord bundle to my riser, I thought it would be great if someone came out with a cord management system for the setup. Then it hit me that I could incorporate it into the dovetail bridgelock mount I was making. So I got back with my buddy and through a bunch of prototypes came up with a solution. They have been done for a while now but my buddy convinced me to file for a few patents before I made it public. So now that that is done... here she is! Let me know your thoughts.
It is made from aircraft grade 6061 aluminum. Hard anodized with flat black to prevent glare in the Garmin sight picture. I milled out as much extra material possible without sacrificing necessary rigidity and strength so it weights a mere 1.07 ounces. It is rock solid.
You will see the "locker" in this picture. There is a lid that seals this when installed in the bridgelock that is shown in later pictures.
Here it is with the extra trigger cable installed in the bridge-locker.
Here it is fully installed with the lid on.
Here it is in my Pelican Air case. I can travel without worrying about taking the sight off and re-sighting it in.
Oh and it clears the Mathews Lo-Pro Fixed and Detachable quivers too!
That's it. Let me know what you think!
