Found a local shop with one last Tueday.

Bow-
V3 31
29 Draw/65#
Mathews 6 Arrow Web Quiver
Fast Eddie XL Double Fiber
Hamskea Pro Rest
8 in Stabilizer - Front
6 in Stabilizer - Rear
Atlas Vbar
Ultraview Grip

Arrows-
300 Sirius Apollos

Just curious- what length arrows (carbon to carbon length) are you shooting w/ 29 inch draw?

I actually haven't cut these yet, waiting for them to show up in the mail. My last set with the same draw length were 29 inches from carbon to end of insert/half out. So probably 28.5 carbon to carbon I think the outter part of the insert is about 1/2 inch.

If you are using any kind of collar system on your arrow like IW then you have about an inch to 1.25" to play with on your draw lenth.

I am using BE Rampage with IW collar and insert and cut mine to 27.75" with a 28.5" draw and have about a 1/2 inch before it would interfere with my Hamskea Trinity Hunter Pro.

Do you recommend using the collars? At one point I was told I didn't need to withe the ethics inserts but i haven't done much research for myself yet.

Depends on your arrow diameter really...to be honest, this is my first year running a 5mm arrow which is why I have added the collars, anything larger and its probably overkill...anything smaller and its probably a must.

People do like the ethics outserts too though.

I got my V3 31 in subalpine a few months ago. Finally think it’s dialed and ready for fall. ABB strings, Mathews QAD ultrarest, option 8S sight, crossover front stabilizer, 10” bee stinger back bar, Easton axis 340 with silent knight 3” vanes and 125g broadheads. It’s shooting great at 69lbs. It’s only my second compound but a huge upgrade for me and is shooting great

My v3 FINALLY came in after waiting nearly 7 months. It was a breeze to get tuned up. I too am on the fence with new strings or not. Have a hunt coming up mid september so hesitant to pull it all back apart.

Bow-
-75# 28.5 draw v3 31 in stone gray
-MBG mountain lite site
-Hind site 2 (in addition to a peep)
-QAD ultrarest
-want a qlite quiver

Arrows-
Arrows-
-Easton 6.5s (MG)
-125gr heads (Muzzy ONEs when they come in)
-AAE hybrids

Just a side note, wow there is like no vane clearance. I have the vanes cocked at ~15° off of cock vane left (RHS) to clear all vanes.

My VXR @ 75# I don't think I got but 750-800 shots out of the factory string. I can't remember for certain now, might have been more like 500. I feel they are hit or miss, but my opinion, get past 70# and a bow is way harder on strings. From my experience, I wouldn't leave the factory ones on, no need to have them start creeping with 3 weeks til a hunt. If you were 70# or less I would be more prone to say let them stay.

I have had zero issues with vane clearance while testing out AAE max stealth's, TAC drivers and Blazers. However Mathews claiming their is more clearance from the traditional cable guard is very minimal. It being in the center helps more with keeping the cams in synch more than anything. Is your center shot set to 13/16? If it is you may be torqueing the bow and that can cause fletching contact as well.

Good to know on the strings, I didnt even think about draw weight playing into it like that. Will go ahead and replace strings, last thing I want is what you mentioned lol.

Yes center shot is right close, I think it's actually a hair further than that post tuned. I'm not sure the vanes were making more than very slight contact, I didnt audibly notice or notice in accuracy. But you can stare down the shaft and see blatantly that cock feather up would contact the cable guard. And cock feather left *looked* like I may have slight contact with the rest when dropped fully away. Maybe I'm just paranoid, shoots great though.

My V3 has finally arrived. It tuned almost out of the box with a hamskea trinity rest and 12in front/10 inch back cutter stabilizers. I'm shooting the F 85% mod at 60 lbs. Actual draw length is a hair over 28. Draw weight is 61.5 lbs

Speeds
395 gr arrows going 286 fps
520 gr arrows going 252 fps

In the calculator that came out to 342 fps ibo as advertised. I could not be more pleased.

Mine shot a 460 grain at 29/70 at 286FPS. Good stuff.

I picked one up. Coming from a 41 inch A2A bow, I'm having trouble with this one. I don't shoot it well. For whatever reason, I keep hitting to the right. If I do everything correctly, I shoot ok, but for some reason, my arrows always seem to drift right. My bare shafts and fletching are stacking on top of each other @ 20yds.

My last attempt to solve this will be to shorten the DL 1/2 inch. If that doesn't work, I'm selling the bow. I've shot the same bow since 2007, and finally "upgraded" but it seems I've actually downgraded in large scope of things.

I picked up a new 31 couple weeks back , doing a test between my 31 , RX5 Ultra , and Revolt X , in the end 1 will be my primary bow this season , one will be my back up , and the other will hit the classifieds , right now the Mathews is leading by a bunch over the other 2 , set ups on all are :

60#
27 1/2 actual draw on draw board - not counting D Loop
350 RIP TKOs 27" CtC , 25 grain IW inserts , 10 grain collars , 125 grain stainless Viper Tricks a tad over 430 grains total , may put lighted nocks in to get me over 440 and also the lighted benefit
no chrono so no idea on speed , the 31 seems the quickest of the bunch , it does require a very good backstop to not have pass thrus

My 27 arrived the beginning of last week and has been a dream after getting it set up.

UA Riser
Stone Limbs
26" DL, 70 lb. / 80% Mods. 435 grain arrow going 276 fps.
Zebra Strings....jury still out. Have had a bit of creep but seems things have settled in. Still have by Archeryshack set in the bullpen just in case. Either way, these will be going on after this season if all goes well.
