I bought a Lift 33 last year with the 65lb 28” 85% mods. Bow shot/shoots awesome but I always intended to go to 70. Ordered the H 28” 70lb 85% mods and installed those. draws fine, other than th big hump and dump into the valley. But that valley, night and day from the 65lbers. It is the jumpiest bow I’ve ever shot. It’s awful. I’ve switched Back to the 65lbers and have a set of the “smooth” mods in 70lb on order. But I am wondering if the 80% mods are the way to go? Are they less jumpy? Do you gain a little speed? Are some mods just duds and others are great?

I was shooting 70lb 80% at 30” on my Arc 34 for a could have weeks and thought they were extremely jumpy. Just switched to the 70lb Z mods and it is night and day difference. Way smoother draw and don’t feel jumpy. Giving up some speed but I’m still getting 297fps with a 466g arrow with the Z mods. Way more comfortable shooting in my opinion

You will give up some speed but not much the draw feels the same up front but is easier in the back of the draw. I guess everyone is different cause the lift X or the arc 30 does not seem jumpy at all to me plenty of valley. At full draw I can relax a ton and it does not try to take off on me. I will say with the z mods it’s also easier to let down.. I lost just over a pound switching but a couple twists in the cables and was back to where I stared I only lost like 3-4 fps at 28.5 draw but added like half turn on the limb bolts to get like 2-3 more pounds and I’m right where I was as far as speed. I have the 80 pound mods turned down to like 77 now it’s at 79..

My experience with the Lift/ LiftX 33 at 28.5, was the the 80 percent mods have less valley and less "dump". I would probably call it smoother. Certainly easier to control. However, depending on how valley dependent you are at maintaining full draw you may find the 80% more "jumpy" not less. As far as speed, I picked up a conservative 3 FPS over the 85%.

I don't have enough experience with the Z mods at high enough draw weights to give a honest evaluation.

looking at Mathews website, looks like all Z mods are 85%. Once again my 65lb mods aren’t jumpy at all, it’s the 70lbers that I’m not getting along with.
