Hello fellas. Long time creeper, first time poster. I need to get my post count up in order to post in the classifieds. How many of yall still hunt with a Switchback XT? I currently hunt with a pse evo but I’m wanting to buy a switchback XT to hunt public land here in north Alabama. Typical boat rides into a place, small acreage areas, thick as hell. Shots typically 25 yards max. I’ve narrowed it down to a Mathews switchback XT, creed, or a heli’ m. The only switchbacks I can find are on EBay and are as high as giraffe ass.

I’ve still got a switchback xt. I use it for my backup when I travel. Truthfully, I think they are so high because they are still a great bow! I ended up getting a phase 4 as my go to, but I can’t make myself move on from the switchback.
Good luck with your search. It’s a great bow!

Great bows for exactly what your describing. You will likely spend some time finding a deal. The folks that have them tend to hang onto them. They are super smooth, and like all mathews you can get all the replacement pieces if needed. They are cam specific on DL so consider that when shopping. New cams are around $200. The creed is another solid option. I am not a big heli M fan personally.

There’s been a few on EBay and looks like they’re selling for $4-550. They’re not on there long either. Crazy!

Personally speaking I didn't like mine. I came from a Mathews Q2xl which I loved, it was as smooth as well you know. I felt the switchback was just not as smooth and the learning curve was strained. I now shoot a V3X its alright.

If you haven't looked at Mathews DXT, it is the model after the Switchback XT and nice also. They aren't as expensive as the Switchback XT where you are looking. I much prefer the DXT and Drenalin in that era.

I have a regular Switchback with 60# limbs and 28.5” draw length. I live near Lagrange GA and would be willing to sell it in a FTF deal. It has new drop away rest and Catfish strings. Soft SKB case and matching quiver is included. PM if interested and what you want to pay.

I do appreciate it. Looks like you are close to 200 miles from me one way. Little too far of a poke.

Switchback XT is a great bow. Have one since 2006, original purchase.
Now main bow since 2021 is Vertix.
Sold Denali, Creed XS, Z7.....but always kept the Switchback XT.

SBXT is my travel back up bow. When at deer or elk camp, always shoot the SBXT a few shots. It's that good, even though now at my senior 67yo, tuned it down to #65 instead of #70.

Surprisingly interchange my SpottHogg Boonie to SBXT with extra mount bracket.
It shoots same on target at 50 yards as my main Vertix bow w/SHogg Boonie.
