I just recently purchased my first Matthew’s, the lift X 29.5. I like everything about the bow, but I am not getting used to the back wall and how jumpy it is. I’ve shot several other bows and have never had this problem. Does anybody else have a similar experience?

My issue is I’m starting to become a very conscience of it, which is starting to create target panic.

I found it that way at first, but have been pulling harder into it, which helps a touch with my pin float. I noticed it more with a wrist release vs handheld for some reason.

I shot one all of the early spring to rehab a labrum repair, I thought it was an easy hold. I also put 7 twists in the cables to get the actual draw length down to what the mod states; it would be a good thing to double check your draw length/anchor if you can't maintain back tension.

Check your timing, sounds like its off just a little. With 85% mods I feel lijevyou almost need to push them forward to let down.

Half twist can move the stops a lot. I frequently use a little bar bell of d-loop to get cables correct.

Yeah check the timing and what let off you have mine is not jumpy at all and find the back wall to plenty big but I have been shooting Mathews bows for the last 8 years mainly but if I shoot some of my other bows then I can get lazy on the back wall cause some of them are 90% let off

Like doubling up on d loop material and putting through cable?

sounds like a draw length adjustment is needed, that was the issue I had when I first purchased the X.
When you get that right the back wall is perfecto

Agree with this. My lift x came in 1/4" long. Give the string a twist or two or three to get where you want. I felt that way with the 80% mods, that it wanted to jump on me but not with the 85% and proper draw length.
