Anybody got the scoop on Mathews 2016 line? Predictions maybe?

I would definitely like to see something other than a no-cam xt or any other variation of the no-cam, although one with a speed boost would certainly catch my eye. I like the Monster wake, however, the price is enough to induce cardiac arrest in a fit man.

I also would think their patent is going to be up soon on the whole solocam technology, so they will probably drift further away from that.

I think the nocam is a great bow and certainly smooth to shoot but I would like to see something in that price range that could compete with hoyts turbo cam.

I know everybody has their preferences in the bow world, but you really seem to have an actual hatred for Mathews bows. Any particular reason?

They can't build a good shooting bow. Yeah, the solo cams still shoot decently but that's about it. The NoCam is just atrociously slow and really not all that smooth. Their two cam bows have a tiny valley and a terrible backwall. It's all hype with Mathews.

From what I've been able to gather it looks like the release date will be around November 16th, and allegedly there will be three new ones. I certainly hope the one leaked doesn't have the wake price, because it certainly looks similar.

Gotta say that my HeliM is one of the sweetest shooting bows I have ever drawn, shot, and killed with.

It's all personal preference, like "I drive a ford so chevy sucks".

Shoot what you like. Pump it up if it makes you feel better. But saying something like "They can't build a good shooting bow" sounds a bit ridiculous.

While I'm not real fond of Mathews bows it's not THAT slow.

Mathews is all about advertising. I bought one years ago because I got caught up in the hype. Absolutely could not stand the bow. They are very well made. Definitely not a quality issue. Just hated the single cam I think. After that I could have cared less what brand it was. I went and shot a bunch and bought the one that felt the best in my hand.

Dad and I still shoot our switchback and dxt... Love em. I think most bow brands have something good to offer. To me, Hoyt and Matthews are the fender gibson of the guitar world. Been around a long time and done a lot of things right... But some models dont catch on. Then you have the bowtechs, elites etc, that spice up tradition - like a PRS or Parker. All play well, all depend on the guy wearing the guitar. Some easier than others, all will sound great with a good player. The bows all shoot and tune. Some easier then others. All have killed and have their fans. Variety is the spice of life

Have you shot one? (I haven't) I ask, because everyone is so hyped up about how there is "no bow" at the shot and that it's 100% dead in the hand, that if they close their eyes they can't even tell the bow fired, etc. Sounds a little cult-like like the guys that shoot Oneidas and you're the first guy I've read that said it's not that smooth...you know....more like a normal bow. Just curious. I guess I'm just happy to hear someone say the King has no clothes...if in fact he has no clothes. If I ever get to shoot one, I will for sure.
