Masters of Barebow....

Half way thru 1. Work has overtaken my life but I sneak in an episode a night. this is good stuff.

How'd the pig hunt go SHTF? Did you use the trad bow?

Dave thats awesome. Once you get through dvd 3 and 4 let me know.

Nick, Totally missed your post. Till Dave rebumped it.

Pig hunt went fantastic. I took a 180 pound pig with my recurve although he took a step forward on me on the shot which hit him a bit far back. He was found the next day in a Stream Bed across the Property. Meat wasnt any good at that point.

I took another on the last day 20 yard shot with my Wicked Ridge. Got that one out and to the processor and now have some great Feral hog Meat in the freezer. Had a blast. Those pigs are tough bastards.

Oh cool, trad is pretty fun, shot a bear this spring and it will forever be one of my best memories while bowhunting.

Will agree even though we didn't find my pig till the next day it was still a blast. I learned a lot and figured out I hate getting in and out of the tripod stand. Talk about a PITA.
When that pig stepped forward on the shot I literally took about 5 mins before that shot focusing on breathing and picking my spot. It taught me a lot of patience for sure and I also learned that even with a good shot the circumstances can still go south after that arrow leaves your bow. Because hogs are so skittish and are constantly moving even when feeding it's hard to predict their movement.

Arrow

Here's the arrow as it buried into him. Pretty good feeling.

That is very cool Nick. Where you in a ground blinde on that shot? or just the camera?

I tried out the Blinds on the Hog Hunt. Man it was like sitting in an Oven. Couldnt stand being in it. And the Pigs where smart. They knew when someone was inside. I had much better luck up on the Tree stand and Bucket Tripod.
