Great video, and congrats on the successful hunt! Sika are really cool little critters. We have them free ranging in the Texas Hill Country as well, although the mostly dry, rocky and hilly terrain is the opposite of a marsh. I love hearing them bugle. A lot like an elk, only without the chuckles at the end. We have a few on the ranch I hunt (low fence, free range). We aren't hunting them yet, as we're letting the herd grow in number first. Maybe we'll green light one or two next year, and maybe I'll see this one again then. I've heard they're great eating, and I'd love to have a beautiful mount on the wall as well. Fingers crossed!

Sika are something I need to chase more often. I'm definitely devoting more time to them next year.

that's why land prices for sinking land are so high

That's what keeps me grounded. Difficult to lease in Sika county when you live 2 1/2 hours away. Public isn't bad. Just have to put in the time and have patience for those that don't.
